Kon Hoeel Marathi Crorepati Season 2

After a successful run in its first season, Kon Hoeel Marathi Crorepati returned for the next in January 2014. This year not only did the prize money double (to 2 crores) , but so did the number of contestants. With immediate family members playing together, this season promised double the entertainment. While only one contestant played the fastest finger first, both played the hot seat together using team work to climb the money tree of 16 questions. This season epitomized the power of companionship with the tagline that said ‘Asel Saath Tar Jamel Baat’ , which roughly translates to 'If you have support, you can achieve anything.'

The contestants had 3 life lines to choose from Audience Poll, (Janamatacha Kaul), Phone-A- Friend (Mitrala Phone) and 50:50 (Talyat Malyat). To keep the jodis on their toes however, the ever watchful timer (Katekar Kaka) was present up to the 10th question (Rs. 3, 20,000/-).

The affable Sachin Khedekar was there to be the pairs’ friend, philosopher and guide and once again, he carried off this role flawlessly.

Celebrity duos such as Suresh & Padma Wadkar, Adinath & Radha Mangeshkar and Shreyas & Deepti Talpade amongst others featured on the show.These duos won the hearts of both the viewers and the NGOs they were playing for. The shows ratings surpassed those of the first season. The top prize winners were Mahadev & Anita Jadhav.They not only won a crore, but also became the very first contestants to do so, in the history of Kon Hoeel Marathi Crorepati.

The show was telecast on ETV Marathi on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 to 10:30pm.
