The Tech Grandmasters
The Tech Grandmasters was a quiz show based on all things tech.With gizmos, gadgets and a tech guru host in the form of Rajiv Makhni, it was a show that challenged even the savviest of tech freaks, testing them on their knowledge of the latest gadgets as well as the greatest inventions and innovations. It provided them with a platform to showcase their tech quotient, become the Tech Grandmasters of the country and also win some latest and hottest gadgets.
Launched on January 21, 2011 on NDTV Good Times, it aired every Thursday at 10 pm.
Khelo Jeeto Jiyo
A unique branded lifestyle game show, Khelo Jeeto Jiyo was originally launched with Godrej for the Star TV network. Khelo Jeeto Jiyo was a unique game show, in which contestants comprising three family pairs could win a home and everything in it.
Progressing room to room, through a gauntlet of games and activities that tested their compatibility, teamwork and lifestyle awareness, Khelo Jeeto Jiyo bound families together in an entertaining, edge-of-the-seat format.
After a successful run across three channels on the Star network, it was produced in 3 regional languages – Vazhvai Mattralaam Vaanga in Tamil, Dream Home – Adandi Life Marchukond in Telugu and Game Adi Life Change Madi in Kannada – for the Sun Network in the South.
Sports Ka Superstar
Serving as a precursor to the Commonwealth Games, 2010, Sports Ka Superstar was a sports-based quiz show that aired on DD1.
Qualifying through an all-India selection test, 200 quizzers took the roles of khiladis (players), displaying their knowledge of sports and challenging their fellow competitors to a fight to the finish.
The challengers stood to win up to one crore rupees in prize money.
Bollywood Ka Boss
The first-ever Bollywood quiz show on Indian television, Bollywood Ka Boss was the search for India's biggest film buff.
Hosted by the entertaining actor Boman Irani, the game and contest was designed in such a way that the top 10 contestants had to qualify through preliminary and semi-final rounds to reach the grand finale. Every episode consisted of 7 levels of quizzing & the top 2 contestants qualified to the next stage of the contest (Semi finals & Final).
It aired every Sunday, 9 pm, on Sahara Filmy.
Howzzat
A quiz show based on cricket, which pitted two teams of 6 cricket lovers each against each other in an exciting encounter. The format of Howzzat was based on the format of the One Day International cricket matches.
Just like in a cricket match, one team played five, 6 ball overs (i.e. 6 questions) first, while the other team chased their score/ points.
It was aired on Tara Bangla.
Mum Tum Aur Hum
Two mum-kid teams played three very exciting rounds in this fun-filled game show, fighting it out to the final Jackpot round.
Playful, heart-warming and funny, Mum Tum Aur Hum was aired on Star Plus.
