India's Got Talent

The first season of the show was judged by the internationally acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, National award-winning film and stage artiste Kirron Kher and the lovely actress Sonali Bendre. Show hosts Nikhil Chinappa and Ayushmann Khurana connected effortlessly with the contestants and drew applause with their smart, witty brand of humour.

With their Krishna act, the Prince Dance Group from Berhampur, Orissa, were the favourites of the season from the start, winning over the audience as well as the judges with their extraordinary performances. The entire nation was moved by the triumphant story of this dance troupe of daily wage labourers who, too poor to buy costumes for their acts, covered themselves in body paint. Prince Dance Group went on to win the first season of India's Got Talent.

The season featured 17 episodes that were aired on Colors at 9 pm, Saturdays and Sundays(2009).
