Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz
A variety talent show featuring acts exclusively by children made Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz
the first of its kind on Indian television. The basic premise of the show was No competition, Only
celebration! This was a platform where children (aged 6-15 yrs) could enjoy displaying their skills and abilities to the fullest, striving only to express themselves and excel, without the pressure of elimination or competing with other acts. The 3 golden rules of the show were 'No rona-dhona' (no crying), 'No report card' (no scoring) and 'Just Enjoy'!
Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz scoured the country to bring a range of exceptional acts by talented
children to the forefront. The acts spanned a wide range of performing arts, from shadow play to sand
animation, roller-skating dancers to rhythmic gymnastics, yoga to rope mallkhamb, puppetry
to black light acts, magic and jugglery, dance and music of different kinds, martial arts, and a
whole lot more. The children showcased their hunar with passion, and were rewarded by informed appreciation, with Medals of Hunar, certificates and token cash prizes presented on their behalf to their parents or mentors.
To analyse the acts and encourage the children on the show there were two cool gurus, beautiful actress, and mother, Sonali Bendre, who has earlier judged Indian Idol and India's Got Talent, and dancer –choreographer extraordinaire Terence Lewis, who's has also been judge of Dance India Dance. The show was anchored by Paras Tomar and Mansi Parikh.
Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz aired on Life Ok from the 22nd of Oct to the 16th of Nov '12(Mon-Fri 7pm and 9pm).
