Aap Ki Kachehri
Aap ki Kachehri...real people, real disputes, real drama. Live court TV with a difference.
A first-of-its-kind legal show on Indian television, Aap ki Kachehri was an unbiased forum for resolving real-life disputes that unfolded from an exciting first-person perspective.
As a means of arriving at an alternate dispute resolution, Kiran Bedi, India's first female police officer, was the effective mediator on the show. The objective was to settle conflicts through examination, argument, analysis and agreements based on law & equity.
Season 1 featured 65 episodes, aired daily at 10:30 pm on STAR Plus in 2009 and averaged the highest ratings of any non-fiction show in Hindi that year.
With its second season, Aap Ki Kachehri expanded its reach beyond the Delhi region, getting disputants from across the country. It engaged with an even broader section of society, communities and issues.
The second season of Aap ki Kachehri featured 44 episodes, and was aired daily at 8:00 pm on STAR Plus.
